Support and Comfort for You and Your Family
It’s true that hospice is specialized care that is most often administered at the end of one’s life, but hospice care can also be a beautiful, empowering, life-affirming option. Its aim is to bring peace, comfort, and well-being, not only to those facing a terminal condition, but also their friends and family.
Hospice care can and does empower life. Anyone, of any age, is eligible for hospice care if they have a life expectancy of six months or less. This can include not only health care and the administration of key medications, but also a wide range of helpful therapies that ease the patient and those who are closest to them.
Peace and Closure
At Knute Nelson, our hospice care of West Central Minnesota helps your loved one find peace and closure, but it can do much more than that. It can help individuals reach their end-of-life goals – whether those are crossing something off their bucket list, taking a last visit to their favorite park, listening to a comforting reading, hearing treasured music, or anything in between – as long as we can manage their symptoms and keep them as comfortable as possible. Importantly, hospice care can be administered in a wide variety of settings, meaning that an individual can receive critical, specialized care in the comfort of their home.
