What is Outpatient Therapy?
Many of our patients and their loved ones haven’t heard of outpatient therapy until their time of need. In a general sense, outpatient therapy is a treatment plan to help a patient return to a higher level of functionality, especially after a physical injury or cognitive issue.
As an example, a patient may need to undergo physical therapy sessions after a fall-related back injury. Likewise, speech therapy can help with vocal quality improvements and articulation after a traumatic brain injury. Additional offerings include aquatic physical therapy, occupational therapy, and specialized therapy for certain conditions.
Each treatment is centered on returning a sense of normalcy to our patient’s day-to-day life.
The Key Benefits of Outpatient Therapy
For the full spectrum of injuries and conditions, including arthritis, back pain, difficulty swallowing, limited range of motion, stuttering, and beyond, outpatient therapy can help support fuller healing for greater life fulfillment.
Success comes in many shapes and forms for our patients, including:
Reduced pain during routine activities
Improved cognitive clarity and communicability
Increased strength and flexibility
Safer day-to-day movements
