Our Christian heritage is an integral part of the care we provide. Spiritual care infuses everything we do and all faiths are welcome and celebrated.
Our full-time chaplains provide spiritual care to residents, patients, their families and our staff. Bible study and Sunday worship are just two of the on-site activities we offer.
In addition to our full-time chaplains, we are blessed to have a number of volunteer Associate Chaplains who care for residents and patients. They work closely with Knute Nelson's two full-time chaplains to enhance the spiritual healing we provide our residents and patients. (For information on how you can help provide spiritual care to those we serve, visit our volunteer page.)
Knute Nelson is affiliated with 17 local area churches that help guide and support our nonprofit mission and vision. One of the roles of our Corporation Churches is to elect our Board of Directors who assist in developing a more collaborative, Christian faith community representing aging services in Alexandria.
So deeply do we care for you that we are determined to share with you not only the gospel of God but also our own selves, because you have become very dear to us. – Thessalonians 2:8
