So deeply do we care for you that we are determined to share with you not only the gospel of God but also our own selves, because you have become very dear to us. – Thessalonians 2:8
Spiritual care programming is part of our mission work at Knute Nelson and encompasses all facets of our organization. Our approach to spiritual care is interdisciplinary and provided by all employees who serve as companions to our residents and clients in their journey of faith and healing. All faiths are celebrated and welcomed at Knute Nelson.
An important program that provides spiritual care to residents and patients at Knute Nelson, is the Associate Chaplain program. Associate Chaplains are volunteers who work closely with Knute Nelson's two full-time Chaplains, to help provide enhanced spiritual healing to those we serve. Visit the volunteer page for additional information on how you can assist with providing spiritual care to those served by Knute Nelson.
Knute Nelson is affiliated with 17 local area churches that help guide and support our nonprofit mission and vision. The role of our Corporation Churches is to elect our Board of Directors - among other important duties - that assist in developing a more collaborative, Christian faith community representing aging services in Alexandria.
